David Bani-Harouni

PhD Student at the Technical University of Munich

I am a PhD Student at the Computer-Aided Medical Procedures (CAMP) group under the supervision of Prof. Nassir Navab. My research focuses on enabling calibrated confidence expressions of language and vision-language models through reinforcement learning. I also investigate how agents can be trained for efficient clinical decision-making, by iteratively refining diagnostic hypotheses, selecting informative clinical tests, and optimizing the trade-off between diagnostic accuracy and resource use.

Before my PhD, I completed my master’s and bachelor’s degrees in computer science at TUM with a semester abroad at the National University of Singapore.
